Description
Year: 2018, a widely declared classic Vintage after a long, hot, dry summer — some call it ‘the Vintage of the century’. Grapes: Tinta Pomar, Tinta da Barca, Mourisco, Tinta Amarela, Rufete, Malvasia Preta and other indigenous varieties from Savedra, our oldest (60+ years) field-blended parcel. Terroir: schist soils, arid Mediterranean climate, grade-A vineyards. Winemaking: foot-trodden 3 days in lagares, fermented 3 days under temperature control, aged in 7,000-litre foudres, bottled unfiltered within 2 years. 1,200 bottles. Alcohol: 19.5%.
