Year: 2022. Made every year, this single-harvest blend is the estate’s calling card. Grapes: Touriga Nacional (35%), Touriga Franca (30%), Tinta Roriz (35%). Terroir: schist soils, arid Mediterranean climate, grade-A vineyards slightly above our Porto parcels. Winemaking: de-stemmed and crushed; 3 days pre-fermentation maceration, 7 days temperature-controlled fermentation and 5 more on the skins, all in stainless steel; malolactic, then 10–12 months in stainless (40%) and 228-litre French oak (60%) before blending. 6,500 bottles. Alcohol: 14%.
