Description

Year: 2021. Grapes: a field blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Pomar, Tinta da Barca, Mourisco, Tinta Amarela, Rufete and Malvasia Preta from our 40+-year-old vines. Terroir: schist soils, arid Mediterranean climate, grade-A vineyards. Winemaking: foot-trodden 3 days in traditional lagares, fermented 3 days under temperature control for slow, gentle extraction; aged 4 years in neutral French oak 5,000-litre foudres and bottled in 2024. 9,700 bottles. Alcohol: 19.5%.
