Description
Year: 2023. Grapes: 18+ varieties, led by Touriga Nacional, from our 40+-year-old field-blended vines. Terroir: schist soils, arid Mediterranean climate, grade-A vineyards. Winemaking: hand-picked estate grapes are foot-trodden in traditional lagares for 3 days, then fermented 3 days under temperature control for a slow, gentle extraction of soft tannins, complex aromas and rich colour; aged with minimal oxygen contact in 7,000-litre foudres, IVDP Vintage-approved and bottled unfiltered within 2 years of harvest. 4,400 bottles. Alcohol: 19.5%.
